Jørgen Stenberg hands over the key to the company to Bent Madsen
New CEO in HF
After almost 43 years of employment, 10 of which as principal shareholder and 18 years as CEO, I feel the time has come to pass the leadership baton to the next generation, says Jørgen Stenberg, who turns 70 next year.
I want to make sure that HF continues as a healthy and developing company for employees, customers, suppliers and our shareholders, viz. Addtech AB and the Følsgaard Foundation. Consequently, I have decided to resign as the leading figure of HF as from February 3, 2020 and pass the role to my successor, Bent Madsen, who comes from a senior position in the Aurora Group where he has been employed for over 20 years.
In just a few years’ time HF will be celebrating the company’s 100th birthday and during this time there have only been 4 CEOs beside the founder. This has ensured a long history of stability and continuity. Bent is 41 years old. Because of his young age he will be able to carry on our company tradition.
HF has evolved from being a traditional electricity wholesaler in the first four decades to becoming an active engineering partner with primarily customer-specific solutions for the past 20 years. We have achieved a turnover of approx. 600 million DKK, and min. DKK 200 million in direct sales. With 6 departments within Telecom, Cables, Automation, Container, Greentech and Powertech, each workday is packed with opportunities and exciting challenges, says Jørgen Stenberg.
At the same time, HF has wholly owned subsidiaries in Norway, Germany and China. The companies will in the future form the basis for greater investments.
There is plenty to do, says Jørgen Stenberg, who in an undefined transition period will support Bent Madsen. It is my goal in this way and through my future work as a member of the board of directors of Hans Følsgaard A/S and in the Følsgaard Foundation to contribute to HF's continued positive development.
