Optotec Generic Optical Closure Butt family is designed to provide the flexibility and simplicity of managing and storing fibre in the optical network.
The GOC-B type of closure is a fibre optic joint for multiple purposes, which can connect and protect cables.
The fibre closure protects fibre cable splices in straight-through and branching applications and can be used in underground, aerial, wall-mounting, pedestal or direct buried, hand hole-mounting and duct-mounting applications. The closure can store up to 96 single fibres, which can cover most of the long-distance transmission and local fibre distribution networks applications.
Craft-friendly, affordable, reliable and durable, the GOC-B family ensures long-term reliability and quality of voice, video and data signals.
Plus, it’s tested in accordance with most common International standards.
The highly versatile Focus-micrODC closure has been designed for the FTTH network and thanks to its peculiar features comply the new market requirements: compact dimensions (≤ 2 litres) mechanical (IK10) and waterproof protection (IP68); versatile and flexible usage (manhole, direct buried, aerial, facade installation) in outdoor environment. It is mechanically sealed and can be optionally provided with a pressure valve.
The closure is easy to open enabling the management of the cable storage with possibility of having up to 18 drop cables. Depending to the application the micrODC can be used in different configurations, in-line, butt or tap-off with simply access or re-entry. The fibre management system offers cable fixation, protection
of the tubes and positive routing for the fibres with controlled minimum bend radius of 30 mm throughout the whole system. For splicing the fibres is used a standard FOCUS-SAMR cassettes kit.
